HEALER AUSET MARYAM ALI

Healer Auset Maryam Ali founded  Visions Performing Arts Company after a group of amazing young girls impressed her and she aided them to obtain access to quality performing arts opportunities. She promised she would invest until she found a job, and they kept her so busy she never had time to apply for one. Auset has written over 10 plays, 3 screen plays, toured as a dancer, actress and spoken word artist. She has directed over 30 productions. She also has coached dance teams and taught dance for over 25 years.  In her professional performing career she has work with a wide range of artists from Jay-Z, Destiny's Child, Method Man, SaltnPepper, Montel Jordan, to Dick Gregory, Jessica Care Moore, Sunni Patterson Amiri Baraka and many more. Auset is very much a healer in her creative world as well. As the host of an international online radio show since 2009, Auset has built a loyal and strong following across the globe. 


Fresh and invigorating Healer Auset Maryam Ali is one of the best Master Spiritual and Energy Readers of this new age healing generation. An inspiration to women, she has a passion for education and healing and bringing the divinity out of every student performer she encounters.   Her biggest reward is being a wife, mother, daughter, and mentor to young underserved student performers. JANAI LOVE

Kalere Janai Love started dancing at age 4, she began her training at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance at age 7. She started taking Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, West African, & Hip Hop. Her natural ability to dance was expressed through Hip Hop & West African. In 2010 Kalere decided to audition for & attend The Denver School of the Arts, where she received training in Ballet, Modern, Improv, composing pieces, partner work, tracing floor patterns & more. She continued her studies at Overland High School. She joined the Poms team in 2013 starting off on the Junior Varsity Squad. She then joined the Varsity State Squad in 2014, taking home 2nd place in the overall division in the state competition.


She began her career in 2016 when she decided to put her name out into the world and pursue her deep passion and love of dance. She then initiated training in Zumba to become an instructor & tie in her #SelfLoveMovement365 helping others love themselves unconditionally in and out of class. Janai travels around the Denver area to train & learn all of the different styles (i.e Hip Hop, House, Locking & more). She became a street dancer and joined Divine Illusion Dance Crew (2016) and the Impeckable/Obsession (2017/2018) where they attended local battles and performances. She began teaching choreography in high school to her Poms team & Hip Hop club. She has also taught Zumba/Hip Hop outreach through Your Souls Movement Performing Arts as an elective class at DSST: Cole High School.

Currently obtaining ACE Certified Group Fitness Instruction Certification Kalere plans to grow her brand of Bodyisms and help people discover fitness and the fun of dance that is inside of them! 


Kalere is dedicated to growing her dance team "Visions Impact Dance Team” as well becoming a young Dance Coordinator of charter school Visions Performing Arts Company. Another recent blessing is becoming head coach of the “Focus” dance team and Thorton High School in Adams 12 schools. Reaching the youth through movement is her passion! Kalere plans to continue her dream in learning many styles along with mastering Hip Hop & House. She has high hopes sharing her love for dance & Self Love Movement around the world. All in all, her journey continues with a bright future in her heart.

FOUNDING BOARD MEMBERS

 1.  Jaye Lucas, Chairman of the Board- Founding Board Member, Jaye has seen VPAC blossom.  Executive Administration knowledge is her gift to the Board. Jaye is the Executive Operations Director for Planned Parenthood, Park Hill. 

2. Dr. Carolyn Jones,  President - As a former successful Charter School Leader, Dr. Jones brings the expertise of what it takes to run a successful charter school. Retired educator, Dr. Jones is now raising her grand-daughter, and a jewel to the Board.

3. DeEtta Boganey, Vice President- Master Project Manager, DeEtta has experienced managing large global teams in IT. Dedicated to the growth phase, DeEtta is an angel to the Board. DeEtta has previous Board experience and has supported VPAC for the past 3 years as a volunteer and donor. 

4. Dr. Katherine Casey, Secretary - Dr. Katherine is a dynamic founding team member who has aiding in large school project in Denver Public Schools. She is dedicated to the exposure of VPAC getting as far as possible.

5. Elerie Archer, Voting Member- As a registered nurse, Elerie has been a champion of VPAC . As an educator and connector, Elerie has joined the Board as an influential community member and is ready to aid in building the school.

2019 (YEAR 0) OPEN POSITIONS

PRINCIPAL

The Principal will lead and direct the academic and artistic development of systems to measure accountability for VPAC. As a founding team member the Principal will help VPAC reach their enrollment goals for programming and the development of VPAC school opening in fall 2020. Implementing VPAC culture through Systematic Truth Learning Method, 3 C’s and curriculum that is culturally relevant and academically rigorous. The Principal will work closely with Executive Director to aid in leading operational, academic, artistic and community engagement accountability systems.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

The Artistic Director will aid in the academic and artistic development of systems to measure accountability for VPAC. As a founding team member the Artistic Director will help VPAC reach their enrollment goals for programming and the development of VPAC school opening in fall 2020. Implementing VPAC culture through Systematic Truth Learning Method, 3 C’s and curriculum that is culturally relevant and academically rigorous. The Artistic Director will work closely with the Principal and Executive Director to create artistic accountability and community engagement systems. 

SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

The Systems Coordinator will aid in the academic, artistic and operational development of systems to measure accountability for VPAC. As a founding team member the Systems Coordinator will help VPAC reach their enrollment goals for programming and the development of VPAC school opening in fall 2020. Implementing VPAC culture through Systematic Truth Learning Method, 3 C’s and curriculum that is culturally relevant and academically rigorous. The Systems Coordinator will work closely with the Principal and Executive Director to create accountability systems. 

RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR

The Recruitment Coordinator will aid in the artistic expectations and accountability of students in after-school programming, performances, workshops and camps. As a founding team member the Recruitment Coordinator will help VPAC reach their enrollment goals for programming and the development of VPAC school opening in fall 2020. Implementing VPAC culture through Systematic Truth Learning Method, 3 C’s and culturally relevant programming. As well as recruiting participation for the monthly Rock Da’ Mic events starting June 29th, 2019. 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR

The Community Engagement Coordinator will aid in the recruitment of students in community partnerships and enrollment of students in the current after-school programming and the future school. As a founding team member the Community Engagement Coordinator will help VPAC reach their enrollment goals for programming and the development of VPAC school opening in fall 2020. Implementing VPAC culture through Systematic Truth Learning Method, 3 C’s and culturally relevant programming.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

The Executive Assistant will aid the Administrative team of VPAC in the execution of systems and structures. Through aiding the Executive Director, Principal, Academic Director, and Artistic Director, the Executive Assistant will accept completing items that need to be produced for operations of VPAC. As a founding team member the Executive Assistant will help VPAC reach their enrollment goals for programming and the development of VPAC school opening in fall 2020. Implementing VPAC culture through Systematic Truth Learning Method, 3 C’s and culturally relevant programming.
